Acid rain occurs when harmful gases and chemicals such as nitric and sulfuric acid mix with the vapour and rain unnatural drops. It can occur in all the forms of precipitation and occurs mostly due to human activities.

Process:
• The human activities, mainly industries and automobiles release gas emissions and form a layer in the sky.
• When water vapour rises, it mixes and becomes one with the fumes.
• Clouds contain these toxic vapours and settle until it becomes (rain)water.
• When it precipitates, it comes down as acid rain.

Affect and Effect of Acid Rains:
• Agricultural Activity
• Leeching in the soil
• Lack of pure water for trees
• Rate of photosynthesis and its patterns
• Death of animals
• Poison in the food chain

We can stop this problem by designing more effective and less polluting power plants and using fewer fossil fuels and switching to prevent acid rain.
