This is a 5 min and 19-sec video which shows if we are running out of clean water.

1 From space, our planet looks like it has more water than land. But even if it was the case, many people around the globe are facing extreme water scarcity.

2 So are we really running out of clean water? Well, it's yes and no. We can't run out of clean water because of our water cycle.
But the real question is: how much water is actually accessible for us.

3 97% of water is saline. It cannot be used for our domestic purposes. 3% of accessible water is our glaciers. So that leaves with only 1% of the water that we actually have access to. So, if that 1% is divided for the entire globe, we can imagine what the scenario can be.

4 Our world has 37 water reservoirs, but now only 16 are left because of this problem. Even though on an average level, people drink at least 2 liters per day, at least 3000 liters are being consumed as water plays a very important role in our daily life.

5 But the major consumer of water is agriculture. Every year, agriculture drains water which has the volume of at least 3.3 billion Olympic sized swimming pools.

6 So what can we do as individuals to reduce the need for water?
We have to stop wasting food as food-wasting means wasting water.
Also, eat less water usage foods like nuts and meat. If possible, adopt a vegetarian lifestyle.
