This is a video of 2 minutes and 30 seconds about an Indian based company in Bangalore, named Bio- Lutions that uses agricultural waste to create cheap and biodegradable tableware and packing materials.

In India, around 32 million tonnes of agro-based waste is burnt every year which creates adverse consequences.

But can we change the same wastes in a useful way? Bio-Lutions convert the Agricultural waste into 100% biodegradable packing cartons and table wares. They buy agricultural residues from the farmer which dump usually dump or burn and due to this the farmers are getting income from that agro waste.

Their main source ofagro waste raw materials are sugarcane leaves, banana leaves, etc. readily available from Mandya and Tumakuru.
With the help of mechanical machines, they create a fibre bonding material that is made out of only fibre and water without any chemicals or bonding material. Their finished products are currently used by companies like Big Basket.

What are the benefits of Bio- Lutions’ project from Agricultural Waste?

-Their Finished Products are Cheap, most economical, non-toxic, biodegradable, and disposable can be made available in the market.

-This project also helps very much to control various pollutions that can be arisen out of Agricultural waste deposits in land or water.

Now Bio-Lution also plans to expand this project to other regions too aiming to source locally. In this way, they are not just helping farmers but also the environment.
