This is a 4:30 minute video. Which tells about Biodiversity.
Biodiversity is a variety of species.
There are about 8.7 million species on earth.
The loss of one key species can have a very
harmful impact on many levels.
Human are negatively impacting biodiversity.
1) Exploitation of species.
2) Pollution
3) Climate Change. etc
Over harvesting negatively impacts
biodiversity.
If a resource is profitable we develop more efficient method s of harvesting it like fishing and logging.
Toxics discharged into water from industrial process. Has a negative impact on aquatic species. By weakening or effecting their ability to reproduce.
Another impact is Eutrophication. Phosphorus and nitrogen in fertilizers run off agricultural field and pass into rivers which develops algae which causes a problem for aquatic species to breathe.
Human activities like burning of fossil fuels or speeding up global warming impacts biodiversity.
As a cause of which there is loss of sea ice.
Resolution: usage of renewable sources of energy.
