• Humans are the main cause of water pollution. We cause water pollution by dumping industrial wastes in water bodies, due to deforestation, due to use of pesticides, and due to the accidental spillage of oil.

• Consequences of water pollution are the disappearance of biodiversity and aquatic ecosystems.

• We, humans are also harmed by drinking or using contaminated water which leads to illness.

• Thus, we have to take measures like sustainable management and sanitation of water for all.
