A short video that explains how climate change and global warming affects animals and what leads to their extinction?
When global warming occurs the vegetation in large areas gets affected and the food the animals eat also gets affected, animals get no food or get toxic food to eat. Global warming not only affects their food but also their habitat.
For example, Koala its habitat is Eucalyptus forests and its main food is the leaves of the Eucalyptus tree but due to the high amount of carbon dioxide in the environment, changes occur in the chemical composition of Eucalyptus leaves making them toxic to Koalas and these animals get extinct.
But a few species benefit from climate change: The bark beetle for instance with rising temperature it spreads more damaging trees and forests and that in turn destroys the habitats of other animals.
The Intergovernmental Panel on climate change predicts that one in three species will die out if global warming continues.
