A 5-minute video that explains: How Does Climate Change Impact Plants And Animals?

Around the world, there are many different kinds of biomes-places where the climate, the average weather over time defines what kind of plants and animals can live there. Rainforests, deserts, tundra are just some examples, and humans can live in all of them.

When it gets very warm, we can wear light clothes, speed up the fan, turn on the A.C. but for plants and animals, things aren’t that easy. They live in particular biomes, because they are best adapted to the weather, soil and, the length of the day found in those places. Some animals can tolerate big changes in weather and they can even find food from many different sources. Species with more specific needs will have to move to other areas, to find what they need to survive. Those species who cannot find those conditions quickly they will die.

Climate change is even a bigger problem for plants since they just can’t get up and leave like animals. But like animals, there are some plant species that can tolerate climate changes, although all plants cannot and so they will go extinct.

Crops will be affected too, crops will dry up without water or plants will not grow, as different crops need different seasons to grow due to climate change, and farmers will need to shift when they grow certain crops.
