Corals are animals even if they look like plants are made up of tiny animals called Polyps.

Polyp’s calicles connect to each other and make colonies, colonies grow in hundreds and thousands of years and join with other colonies to make reefs.

The largest coral reef is Australia’s Great Barrier Reef.

Coral reefs are home of over 25% of all marine creatures.

Climate change is the reason that is a danger for coral reefs which causes water to get warm which kills the corals, along with millions of species that inhabit the reefs and half billion people who rely on reef fish for food.

Without significant action on climate change, our world may lose the colourful reefs by the end of the century.
