This 3 and half minute video talks about two things:
-Energy Efficiency and its alternatives and
-Where do countries stand in terms of Energy Efficiency.

Energy Efficiency is one of the most powerful weapons for combating global climatic change, boosting the economy, and ensuring that the air we breathe is safe.

Becoming energy efficiency simply means using less energy to perform the same task that is, and to do this eliminating energy waste is the key. It brings a variety of benefits:
(1) Reducing green house emissions,
(2) Reducing demand for energy imports and
(3) Lowering our cost on household and otheer economic expenditure in both domestic and commercial spheres.

While renewable energy can also help in achieving these objectives, it is necessary to improve energy efficiency which is the cheapest and the most suitable way to reduce the dependency on fossil fuels. Energy efficiency can be in any sector such as buildings, transportation, industry, etc..There are enormous opportunities to improve energy efficiency.

As the overall oil prices continue to rise, the overall trend is to move towards energy efficiency and its alternatives. There are a number of energy efficient countries among which Germany leads the way as the most energy efficient country in the world followed by other countries such as Ireland, Denmark, UK, Norway etc..which have showed significant efforts towards energy efficiency.

There are various energy efficient alternatives-
1. Reduce energy for water heating.
2. Choose energy saving lighting.
3. LCD television is the best option.
4. Upright freezer is the best option.
5. Choose new efficient options.
6. Choosing laptops over desktops.
