This video of 5 minutes, takes us through the history of climate change, from 1824 onwards. Also trying to make us aware that unless we make some big changes by 2030, the damage to the planet will be permanent and therefore encouraging us to work unitedly to protect our planet.

When we go through this video, we note the below facts;

97% Climate Scientists agree that humans are causing Climate Change and we have been aware of it for thousands of years. Theophrastus was the first person to observe human activity affects climate change. Then in 1824, French physicist Joseph Fourier discovered the greenhouse effect, a phenomenon that warms the Earth's surfaces with the trapped radiation of the sun through gases from fossil fuels.  In 1957, two scientists of the US confirmed that the oceans can’t absorb all the CO2 despite what we’d thought always.

We are facing severe adverse weather effects due to climate change and if we do nothing, it will get worse. Climate change is affecting not only the oceans and wildlife but also humans. Through this video we can notice the real facts around us as below;

Our oceans contain more pieces of plastic than the stars in the sky.

7 million people die every day due to air pollution.

90% of the world's population breathes unhealthy air.

500% wildfires due to climate change.

Every year, millions of people are displaced by natural disasters.

40% more rainfall due to climate changes.

So what to do?

See, in the 80s, when scientists discovered holes in the ozone, more than 180 countries came together to ban Chlorofluorocarbons(CFCs) to help the repair by 2030, and signed the Paris-Agreement in 2015 with the goal of reducing greenhouse gases and switching to renewable resources.

Each of us must be a part of the change by using a reusable water-bottle, shopping bags, opting LED-bulbs, Vintage and unplug appliances when not in use, etc.

Therefore, all we need to do is to stand together and make people aware of the effects of climate change, and protect our planet EARTH.
