Pollution is a real life threat and not a hoax. Some people like to live under the fantasy that pollution is nothing but a mere thought. Facts state that pollution has caused more number of deaths than even genocides, mass murders and wars.
Pollution causes 9 million premature deaths every year. In 2015, air pollution accounted for 6.5 million deaths and water pollution counted to 1.8 million.
Developed countries sit at the higher ground and watch other countries struggle without thinking of offering a helping hand. Developing nations are the major victims. Countries like our own and Somalia had the highest toll in death count just because of pollution
Festivals like Diwali and Holi contribute to 15% of India’s air and water pollution. Governments needs to start taking action now or otherwise the future generations are in for a frightening world.
